Agradecimientos a los estudiantes universitarios: Robert Green J. André Lemoine B. Antonina Lizetta H. quienes, para su trabajo grupal de grado en la Universidad de Iowa, International Writing Program y el MFA en Escritura Creativa en español, adelantan las traducciones de 101 cuentos atómicos inéditos del suscrito. Iowa no solo se enfoca en la teoría, sino en la tradición viva de la literatura hispanoamericana, siendo punto de encuentro histórico de autores colombianos que van desde la tradición del siglo XX hasta las nuevas voces narrativas actuales.
1. PESIMISMO LÍRICO
Aquella mañana, bajo el guayacán florecido ninguna flor cayó sobre la cabeza del poeta.

Cuando transformó en campanas las aves que volaban cerca, el lama Gyalwang se lanzó al abismo para llegar temprano.

16. DINÁMICA
Todo cuanto hacemos lo hacemos para no sentirnos solos. Al fin y al cabo, herederos de Dios, ese gran solitario.

Danzando uno de sus Conciertos, Lucifer adivinó hasta dónde le llevaría la música de Paganini.
